Ripley has, for a small village, a surprising number of businesses within the parish boundary. Although this is undoubtedly, in part due to the excellent transport links, we also like to think that it is due to the enthusiasm of both local residents and the Parish Council in supporting both new and established businesses.
The proximity of the village to the A3 and the M25 provides it with unrivalled access to the main arterial routes and allows companies in the village access to all parts of the country via the A road and motorway network. With the village laying only 25 miles from Central London we are, although a rural community, only a short drive from the hub of business in the UK.
We are currently planning a business directory for inclusion in the site and, if you run or own a business in the area, you are invited to request an entry. There will be a small charge for inclusion which will assist the Parish Council in funding this web site. Any surplus funds realised from the directory will be used to pay for and improve existing services and amenities such as, for instance, the provision of Christmas lighting in the village each year. This is currently funded by donations only and is proving difficult to maintain under the current financial restraints imposed by central government.Each entry will consist of a bold type heading naming your company and the type of business. Beneath will be your choice of description in a maximum of 75 words. Where requested, a web site and e-mail link to your business will be included in addition to the 75 word allowance with no extra charge. Should you wish to increase your company’s visible presence you may pay an additional fee for a quarter or half page advertisement within the site. Additionally we can, at a slightly increased fee, insert your company logo and link on every page of the site. This facility will be limited and will be on a first come first served basis to prevent overcrowding of the site and to ensure clarity and visibility of those astute enough to take advantage of this service.

The business directory will, once sufficient listings are received, be indexed alphabetically by both name and type of business to assist visitors to search easily for their required service.
